The listed Finnish machine company Componenta reports sustained growth driven by demand in the defence and energy sectors.

- We are pleased with our financial performance in the first quarter of 2026, which continued last year’s strong positive momentum, said Sami Sivuranta, president and chief executive, in a statement.

Componenta’s net sales increased by 15 percent year on year, marking the seventh consecutive quarter in which EBITDA exceeded the comparison period.

The order book rose significantly compared with the previous year and was more than 30 percent higher year on year, with the company pointing to very strong demand in the energy and defence equipment sectors.

The outlook for the general machinery industry has also improved, with companies’ capital expenditure decisions gradually materialising in incoming orders and in customers’ longer-term production plans, the company said.

Componenta’s order book increased by euro 5.7 million year on year to euro 23.1 million (euro 17.4 million) at the end of the review period.

Guidance for 2026 remains unchanged. Componenta expects the group’s net sales and adjusted operating result to improve from the previous year. In 2025, net sales totalled euro 115.7 million and the adjusted operating result was euro 4.3 million.
